Joseph William Albright, Colonel Retired, MS, MSS, VP for Facilities Technical Services at Sodexo, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Logistics.

After serving to the rank of colonel with the Ordnance Branch of the U.S. Army, Mr. Albright applied his many years of military experience as a civilian logistics analyst for the Army, and is now a vice president of North American Facilities Operations with the schools segments of Sodexo. He was assigned to numerous ordinance and ammunition logistics while in the army, and now procures materials to nurture the quality of life for students in Sodexo school communities. Mr. Albright is a recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, and has been featured in the pages of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.

Born in Chillicothe, Ohio to Herman LeRoy and Catherine Albright, Mr. Albright attended the University of Phoenix and earned a BME from the University of Dayton in 1976. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant of the ordinance branch of the U.S. Army the same year. Among his numerous assignments, Mr. Albright was notably assigned to Germany in the late ‘70s, and served as a research engineer and chief of the integrated logistic support office at the Army’s large caliber weapon system laboratory. In the ‘90s, he served as chief of program management with Army Materiel Command, and was commander of the Milan Army Ammunition Plant in Tennessee. After he retired in 2004, Mr. Albright served as a senior logistician with the Office of the Secretary of the Army in Washington before joining the private sector.

While serving in the U.S. Army, Mr. Albright earned a master’s degree in strategic studies with the U.S. Army War College in 2000, followed by an MS in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee in 2001. He has been presented with a 1996 Distinguished Service Medal from the Tennessee National Guard, and is a 1980 Distinguished Graduate of the Ordnance Officer Advanced Course, as well as a 1976 Distinguished Military Graduate. In active service, Mr. Albright was decorated with the Legion of Merit, a Meritorious Service Medal, an Army Commendation Medal, and the Army Achievement Medal. He is the proud father of Andrea Lyn, Jason Michael, James Darrell Evans, and Marie Elizabeth Evans with his wife, Iris J. Evans, and the grandfather of Garrett, Gabrielle, Chase, Jason, Theresa, and Hayden. He is the stepfather of Oksana Nelson and Beth Hood.
