Dr. Petra Seidler, Team Leader at COWI, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in change management.

Dr. Seidler attributes her success to being a results-oriented individual and having the ability to bring change and results. She also credits her recognition and respect for cultural diversity. These qualities have allowed her to secure financing for such public project contracts like the one she negotiated between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan to bring electricity into Kabul. For six years, she led the World Bank-financed project to corporatize and commercialize the national electricity company DABS with more than 7000 employees all over Afghanistan. She was able to watch the lights come on in the city and know she had made a difference in the citizen’s lives. Since April 2011, Dr. Seidler has worked as Team Leader and Head of the Regional Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) financed by the German Government with more than $120 million in Euro. In October 2017, she started another three-year term for the six Northeastern provinces of Afghanistan. RIDF is working in the field of construction of schools, roads, flood protection and irrigation canals, electricity and water supply. She has served as the Team Leader for Consultancy Services to the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit, with the Ukraine Municipal Infrastructure Program at the European Investment Bank, COWI, in the Kyiv Region in Ukraine since 2018. Previously, brought more wellness through Dr. Petra German Medical Clinic.

Dr. Seidler became involved in her current profession because she is focusing on change management, and is always looking for great challenges. She works to achieve the best results under difficult circumstances and holds a Doctor of Philosophy in finance and credit procurement as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in international economic relations, both from the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance. She is a certified expert of consolidation, as well as a Russian chartered interpreter and translator. In her free time, Dr. Seidler enjoys writing, swimming, diving, painting, and music.

In recognition of her humanitarian service, Dr. Seidler was awarded the 2008 Silver Medal, St. Peter of Honour, from the Russian Orthodox Church. She has been featured in Elite Women Worldwide and Top Female Executive by Worldwide Branding and is the recipient of an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and a Marquis Who’s Who Humanitarian Award. She is a recognized Marquis Who’s Who Industry Expert and was featured with Who’s Who of American Women. In 2020, Dr. Seidler was recognized as the Consultant of the Decade by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) and she received the honor of being Empowered Woman of the Year in 2019. In five years’ time, Dr. Seidler will continue her work and project in Afghanistan. She has the desire to write, teach and mentor youth, as well as to continue to seek great challenges.
