Fernand P. Talpe, Chief Executive Officer at Fertagro Trading USA, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in International Trade and Development.

Fluent in Dutch, English, and French, Mr. Talpe runs Fertagro Trading between numerous partners internationally, and has worked in trading since studying business in Belgium. He immigrated to the U.S. in 2011, when he became the owner of Fertagro Trading USA. The firm is the American branch of the Fertago Group, which sources and distributes fertilizers from partners in Europe, Russia, and North America. Currently the office is located in Miami.

Fertago is a family company, started by Mr. Talpe’s family back in 1921. Originally marketing for the Belgium and neighboring countries, it expanded substantially in the ’80s to include overseas markets. Mr. Talpe was born in Belgium, and earned diplomats in business and in psychology there. He worked from 2002 to 2005 as a merchandiser with the agricultural giant Cargill, and in 2004 became chief executive officer of Nordinvest. Since 2005, he has served as the CEO and owner of Fertagro Trading EU, based in Belgium. In 2008, he also became CEO and owner of NV Croenen and Carlier in Belgium, as well as director and owner of NV Fernand Talpe.

Fertagro offers fertilizers with nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium, as well as mico nutrients, NPK and PK fertilizers, as well as controlled release products to save farmers the labor. Mr. Talpe’s various roles are the result of a restructuring of the company in the 2000s, which has fostered much growth into North American and South America.
