Ernest Charles Hickson, Finance Executive, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Business.
Mr. Hickson has been in the financial industry since first working as a credit supervisor in 1955, and has been called as an expert witness on the profession. He was the editor of Financial Marketing from 1976 to 1983, and the author of “The Developers” in 1978. Today, Mr. Hickson leads TMN Capital Incorporated as its senior partner and principal chairman, after many years as a financial executive. He was selected to receive a Marquis Who’s Who Humanitarian Award and an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, and has appeared in Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the West, and Who’s Who in the World.
Born to Russell Arthur and Marilyn Louise Hickson in Los Angeles, Mr. Hickson served to the rank of staff sergeant with the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1954, and earned a BS from the University of Southern California in 1961. He was licensed as a real estate broker in California in 1956, and went on to postgraduate coursework with the University of California, Los Angeles, in the Anderson School of Management. In the ‘60s, Mr. Hickson entered banking with the Union Bank in Los Angeles, and became vice president of County National Bank in 1964, which would grow into Wells Fargo. He led Shelter Corporation as its president and CEO, and later served in similar respects for USF Investors and First Hawaiian Development.
Mr. Hickson is the recipient of a 1964 Executive Award from the Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management at Stanford University, as well as a 1959 Associates Award from the National Institute of Credit at UCLA. He is a member of the President’s Circle and USC Associates at the University of Southern California, as well as the Urban Land Institute, the Pacific Club, and Phi Gamma Delta. In his free time, Mr. Hickson enjoys tennis, walking, writing, and swimming, and is a member of the Outrigger Canoe Club. He is the proud father of Arthur, Jennifer, and Barton with his wife Janice Beleal, as well as the grandfather of seven.
