David P. Dresbach, Financial Consultant and Educator, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in Financial Planning.
As president of Dresbach & Associates Inc. since 1995, Mr. Dresbach is proud of his impact as president of the Minneapolis Financial Planning Association. He came from a family of educators and bankers, starting with his great-great-grandfather who founded a country bank. Mr. Dresbach has spent much of his career assisting students with financial resources and strategies for financing higher education. He has also taught as an adjunct professor of the University of Minnesota, the Metropolitan State University, the Columbus Technical Institute, Franklin University, and Ohio University.
A Marquis Who’s Who Industry Expert and a recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, Mr. Dresbach has appeared in the pages of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the Midwest, and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America. He is a graduate of Ohio University, and earned a MA in 1972 while working as an administrator there. Mr. Dresbach went on to become a regional manager and administrator for the states of Ohio and Minnesota, in turn, and then an executive of several financial firms. He was the senior managing consultant of Public Financial Management before opening his own firm.
Mr. Dresbach has been a prolific presence of his civic community, notably as a chairman and soccer coach of the Grove City Kids Association. He has also contributed to several poetry anthologies over the years, and contributed to numerous professional journals. Mr. Dresbach was named 1980 Boss of the Year by the American Businesswomen’s Association in St. Paul, and continues to support industry organizations like the Institute of Certified Financial Planners, where he has served on the board of directors of its Minnesota Chapter. He is also a member of the Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Academy of American Poets.
