With more than 10 years of professional experience, Ms. Keesing currently serves as a political consultant and has been providing her services as the owner, president and CEO of her company, Keesing International, since 2004. Among the highlights of her career in consulting has been her trip to the United Nations in 2007, where she was able to influence seven colonial nations to sign a declaration for human rights for indigenous people. She has also served as an academic observer with the United Nations since 2006. In addition to her career in consulting, Ms. Keesing is a licensed real estate salesperson for Coast Pacific Properties. She joined the company in 2015, has been connecting prospective buyers with their dream properties since.
Ms. Keesing began her career by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley in 1988. She continued her education at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, earning a Master of Public Health in International Health and Community Health Development from the John A. Burns School of Medicine in 1995. She continued at the school to receive a Master of Arts in medical and cultural anthropology in 1999. In 2014, Ms. Keesing was recognized as a diplomate and sales agent of the Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties Real Estate School.
Ms. Keesing has been recognized for her contributions throughout her career. In 2017, she was honored with acknowledgment in Sheriff Norm Winters’ book, “The Radio Revolution: Historical Fiction based on Radio Free Hawaii.” She is also regarded for establishing a memorial fund for Alice Dewey, which now serves to fund students who do not have the money or have lost their jobs while studying. Ms. Keesing credits her success due to ability to adapt to change and never take no for an answer.
