Mari Ouakrim, Information Technology Manager at dnata, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in air services.
As a leader in the field of information technology, Ms. Ouakrim oversees transition strategies for the provisioning of networks, platforms, cyber security, and service management. She handles workplace negotiations, supervises vendors, and mentors those on her teams. With more than 20 years of experience, Ms. Ouakrim started in data entry, progressed to administration, then accounting and public relations work. She worked in freights until moving into account management and ground services. In addition, she has experience and practice in application, infrastructure, voice, and network.
Ms. Ouakrim earned an associate’s in accounting from the Institute of Technology in 1995 before earning a bachelor’s in business accounting from Charles Sturt University in 2001. She holds a Certificate IV Frontline from Qantas Ltd. as well as a certificate in project management in a global environment from CPM Training. In 2015, her work was recognized with a Gold Najim Award from Emirates Airline. Looking toward the future, she endeavors to take her skills which had aided in her success to the level of chief information officer. In this role, Ms. Ouakrim feels she would really be able to make a difference in the world.
Ms. Ouakrim credits her success to her strong work ethic and natural ability to take on challenges. When starting at a new company or in a new company, she adds value. Upon leaving those positions, the companies are stronger and in a position for sustained success. In her spare time, Ms. Ouakrim is a mentor in local schools and coaches football clubs.
