Cyril Denn, Retired Financial Advisor, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in financial services.
Throughout his career, Mr. Denn has been a trusted and relied upon financial services executive, who not only worked for some of the largest companies in the world, but was also an integral figure for several top secret U.S. Army forces. Prior to entering the world of finance, Mr. Denn learned about business through blue collar work, as a factory laborer for Kato Engineering Co. and as a sales representative with MetLife.
Mr. Denn began his education in 1977, earning a Bachelor of Science in finance, political science, and economics from Mankato State University. After earning this degree, he joined MetLife as a marketing specialist and quickly moved up the corporate ladder. In 1986, he joined Catholic Aid Association as a regional manager, further developing these skills as a manager at Prudential Finance from 1989 to 1991. Before returning to MetLife to work as a financial services executive and financial planner, he provided his services as an assistant manager with Farm Bureau Financial Services.
As a leader in his community, Mr. Denn has served on many committees and boards, offering his expertise and business intuition. He has provided his services on committees for FarmAmerica, Greater Mankato Growth, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers, and the South Dakota Planned Giving Council. Mr. Denn is active with Post 9713 Mankato of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and St. Clair Post 475 of the American Legion. On a civic level, he has engaged the Senator Tom Daschle’s Health Advisory Committee, the St. Clair Public School Board, the Minnesota State University Financial Planning Scholarship, the Mayo Clinic Health Systems Foundation, the St. Thomas More Newman Center Campus Building Fund, and the Immaculate Conception Church.
In addition to his career in financial services, Mr. Denn was with the Army Security Agency in the U.S. Army. He worked as a teletype intercept and a non-Morse communications analyst. From 1969 to 1970, he served with top secret crypto clearance in Thailand. For his work in the service, he received numerous accolades, including the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and an Expert Badge Rifle M14. For his work in finance, Mr. Denn received a Career Development Award from the General Agency Managers Association, Regional Sales Manager Awards from Catholic Aid Association and the numerous Leaders Conference Awards from MetLife Financial Services.
