Jack Kloeber, Owner of Kromite, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in life sciences, technology and portfolio management.
After retiring from a successful career serving in the U.S. Army, Dr. Kloeber ventured into the world of academia and taught graduate school for six years. He then stepped into the realm of businesses needing economic analysis for decisions. Dr. Kloeber entered the pharmaceutical industry and eventually moved into the role of portfolio manager. From there, he realized he could do a lot more good as a consultant rather than working for a single company. He joined as partner of Kromite in 2007 and remained in this role until 2012, when he became the owner.
Dr. Kloeber was fortunate to have all three of his degrees aided by his service in the Army. He earned a doctorate from the School of Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1995. He attributes his success in the industry to luck, hard work, and making honest and genuine connections with people, which has helped him to create a strong and reliable network in his field. In addition to his work in management, he has contributed book chapters to 2014’s “Portfolio Optimization” and 2011’s “Portfolio Decision Analysis.” Dr. Kloeber has contributed to more than 12 published articles.
Dr. Kloeber’s work has earned several awards for his contributions. In 2016 and 2000 he received the Decision Analysis Practice Award for Best Practical Use of Decision Analysis to Solve a Problem from the Decision Analysis Society. He received the Franz Edelman Prize from INFORMS in 2015, and he has received a Legion of Merit Award. Dr. Kloeber is a former board member of the Decision Analysis Society and past president and fellow of the Society for Decision Professionals. He has also served on the advisory board for the Industrial Engineering Department at Lehigh University.
