With nearly 50 years of professional experience, Mr. Goldberger is the founder, chairman and president of Cell 1, Inc. Prior to founding the company earlier this year, he was the chief financial officer, business officer and vice president of business development with Progenitor Cell Therapy, LLC, from 1999 to 2017. In addition, he was board chairman of Citizens against Government Waste from 1995 to 2014, having previously been president of the organization from 1986 to 1989. He was president of Goldberger & Associates, Inc., from 1991 to 1998 and director of mergers and acquisitions with Figgie International, Inc., from 1989 to 1990.
Holding a Bachelor of Science in systems engineering from the Tandon School of Engineering at New York University, Mr. Goldberger also earned a Master of Business Administration in finance and international business at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Having entered the field in order to help people while engaging in intellectual challenges, he began his career with Northrop Grumman as an aerospace systems engineer from 1969 to 1973. He also served as a financial analyst with the International Paper Company from 1973 to 1974, a management consultant with Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Inc., from 1975 to 1977, and assistant to the chairman at W.R. Grace & Company from 1977 to 1989. From 1986 to 1989, he was chief operating officer of the Private Sector Survey on Cost Control under President Ronald Reagan. In his free time, Mr. Goldberger enjoys skiing.
