Title: Owner, Manager
Company: Candle Stick Apartments

Robert Nahum Long, Owner and Manager at Candle Stick Apartments, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in real estate and entrepreneurship.

The owner and manager of Candle Stick Apartments in Battle Creek, MI, since 1980, Mr. Long has been involved in the real estate industry for nearly 40 years. Alongside his primary occupation, he also served as the operations process supervisor at Ralston Purina Company from 1962 to 1994 and a machine operator at Brunswick Corporation in 1962.

Prior to delving into his occupations, Mr. Long served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1955 and the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1961. Later in his career, he attended Lincoln Institute of Technology, graduating with a diploma in industrial management in 1974.

Mr. Long attributes his success to his faith, which has influenced his life in the most positive of ways. When he was 18 years old, he wanted to be a pilot; however, upon visiting the Selfridge Air Force Base, he learned that he could not fly due to a deviated nose, an injury he sustained when he was a child. Mr. Long believes that God had other plans for him, and this moment was one way He led him toward the roles he was meant to perform. When Mr. Long is not engaged with his real estate business, he participates in various Jewish programs and the Word of Life Fellowship program in his local community.

In recognition of his exceptional accomplishments, Mr. Long was the recipient of the Marquis Who’s Who Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018. In addition, he was listed in the 22nd through 24th editions of Who’s Who in the Midwest. In his spare time, he enjoys raising and training golden retrievers, investing in the stock market, and gardening.
