Philip N. Eisner, President at Eisner Consulting, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in science consulting.

Dr. Eisner decided at a very young age that he wanted to be a scientist. His curiosity for nature was a dominant feature of his childhood, and he hoped to learn more about the world. He proceeded to earn a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1955 and to obtain positions as a research scientist at ITT Labs in New Jersey in 1957, an associate director of the Space Physics Lab at the Dewey Electronics Corporation in 1961, a project manager at Exxon Corporate Research Laboratory in 1972, and a senior staff advisor at Exxon Research & Engineering Company in 1981. During this time, Dr. Eisner furthered his professional standing by earning a PhD from New York University. His ongoing success and rising reputation led him to step out on his own in 1986. He remained the president of his eponymous consultancy until his retirement in 1998.

Although Mr. Eisner is no longer professionally active, he continues to lecture on global warming, sustainability, and energy problems. He is also very involved in his community; he has been a trustee of the Speak Up Summit since 2008, a member of the Summit Sustainability Task Force since 2007 and the Summit Board of Health since 2006, the vice president of the Summit Tennis Club since 2005, and a member of the board of directors of the New Jersey Chapter of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Alumni Club since 1996. In his spare time, he enjoys tennis, chess, photography, and genealogy.

As a testament to his hard work and dedication, Dr. Eisner was honored with a Joseph Wenick Award from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Alumni Club of New Jersey in 2013, a Certificate of Achievement from the American Men and Women of Science in 1987, and a Founders’ Day Award from New York University in 1970. His achievements were highlighted in six editions of Who’s Who in America and two editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business.
