Peter Kehoe, President of The Blasket Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in engineering.
For more than 14 years, Dr. Kehoe demonstrated proficiency in his field with his role as the president of The Blasket Group. He became the president in 2004 and served until stepping down in 2016. In this role, he specializes in product development and management, strategic planning, business strategy, planning and development, mergers and acquisitions and manufacturing. He has previously worked as the Technical and Product Manager and Director for DuPont, a position he excelled in from 1973 to 2004.
Attributing his success to having an early love of mathematics, it was also his parents, who were intelligent and respected members in their own fields, who inspired him to continue learning. Dr. Kehoe graduated first in his class at school, as well as coming in first in Ireland’s national university exam. With these early successes, he chose o become a chemical engineer. His father had been a civil engineer and Dr. Kehoe had a firsthand experience peeking into the life of a working scientist through this. In his own education, Dr. Kehoe earned a BE, MEngSC from the University College Dublin with First-Class Honors in 1966. He continued at Cistercian College, receiving an MS in 1970. That same year, Dr. Kehoe received a PhD in chemical engineering from Yale University.
In addition to working at DuPont and The Blasket Group, Dr. Kehoe has served as an ICI Research Fellow for Cambridge University, and as a research fellow for the Irish Institute for Industrial Research. In his career, he was heavily involved with research and development until gravitating toward more leadership positions within DuPont. He did mergers and acquisitions, established joint ventures in England and Asia, including Turkey, Japan, China, Germany, India and Australia. For the rest of his career he was establishing joint ventures with other big companies in the world that could help DuPont.
