Frederick Smith, President and Treasurer of the Fred O. Smith Manufacturing Company, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in manufacturing.

With nearly 60 years of professional experience, Mr. Smith has been the president and treasurer of the Fred O. Smith Manufacturing Company since 1971, having been clerk and executive with the firm since 1960. In addition, he is retired as an LCDR of the United States Naval Reserve, having been a reserved officer from 1960 to 1969. Earlier in his career, he was an officer at the United States Naval Station in Adak, Alaska from 1959 to 1960, and a deck officer and first lieutenant on the USS The Sullivans from 1957 to 1959.

An active leader in his community, Mr. Smith is a member of the Farmington Rotary Club, the Elks, the 8th Marine Regiment Association, and the Farmington Zoning Board. In addition, he is a representative of the Downtown Farmington Business Association, the Porter Lake Association, the Up Country Artists, and Franklin County Arts and Crafts. In his free time, Mr. Smith enjoys cabinet making, photography, skiing, hiking, writing, and painting.
