Susan Elliott, Founder and Chair of Systems Service Enterprises, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in systems engineering.
With more than 60 years of professional experience, Ms. Elliot serves as the chair of Systems Service Enterprises, Inc., having founded the company in 1966. In addition to her primary role, she was a systems coordinator with Boatmen’s National Bank of St. Louis (now Bank of America) from 1979 to 1983, and a systems analyst with the Missouri State Department of Elementary and Secondary Education from 1967 to 1970. Earlier in her career, Ms. Elliott was a systems engineer with IBM from 1958 to 1966.
Ms. Elliott began her career as a student at Smith College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1958. Upon graduating, she consulted with the college counselor and learned that IBM was actively recruiting women with analytical and logical aptitude. Ms. Elliott had a talent for math, and was able to join and gain valuable experience with computers, setting her on her path. In addition to her work in the field, she is an active member of the International Women’s Forum.
