Suzanne Ramona Allen, Retired Financial Planner and Educator, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in finance and education.
Hoping to make the world a better place, Ms. Allen is proud of her work with children and elderly people. She is very passionate about child welfare, the elderly, and other people and animals that can’t speak for themselves and are in positions of neglect. On her mission to help, she served as a sixth grade history and language arts teacher and school counselor at Elliot Middle School, vice president at the Jarvis Law Office of the Massachusetts Mutual Insurance Company, partner in financial service at Roth & Associates through the New York Life Insurance Company, and educator at the Pasadena Unified School District, the Burbank Unified School District, and the Los Angeles Unified School District. She also garnered experience as an interviewer for the Los Angeles Times, career agent for the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, and partner in financial service for the Pacific Life Insurance Company.
The highlight of Ms. Allen’s journey was earning the Piece of the Roof Award from the New York Life Insurance Company in 1994. It meant that she was one of the top producers in her field. She was also honored to receive the Silver Trophy for Outstanding Achievement in Poetry three years in a row, to be named among the Best Poems and Poets by the Library of Congress, and to earn eight bronze medals from the International Poets Society and the National Leadership Award from the National Republican Congressional Committee. Her poems include “Gospel in the Air” and “Sound of Poetry.”
When Ms. Allen has spare time, she enjoys quilting, writing, weigh training, designing jewelry, and painting. She also sculpts in stone, wood, and caste-bronze. Additionally, she has been a volunteer with SPCA International, Inc., since 1999, and a bilingual program coordinator for the Amadeo Spanish Language Enrichment School since 2004.
Ms. Allen prepared for her endeavors by earning a Master of Arts in education from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She then became a certified teacher and a licensed real estate agent in the state of California. To ensure she remained connected to her peers and community, she joined prominent organizations like the National Education Association and the International Society of Poets.
