Mr. St. Pierre, an accomplished and versatile figure in his field, has been serving as the chairman and assistant secretary treasurer at J.C. Wilson & Company since 2005. In his position, he manages finances of small businesses. In addition, he is a fifth generation funeral director at Wilson St. Pierre, having been in the industry since 1970. Serving the funeral profession in a plethora of roles throughout the years, he is the past president of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association and Associated Funeral Directors International, and chairman of the Funeral Service Foundation. Furthermore, he was the former president of Selected Independent Funeral Homes, as well as the National Funeral Directors Association, which is the largest funeral service association in the world.
Alongside his primary endeavors, Mr. St. Pierre has participated in a number of civic engagements, including as a past president of the Greenwood Rotary Club and chairman of the Johnson County Community Foundation. He remains active with numerous Masonic organizations, having served as the presiding officer of Mystic Tie Masonic Lodge #398, the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite and the Murat Shrine. Notably, he previously served as the treasurer of the Indiana Masonic Home Foundation.
Additionally, Mr. St. Pierre has maintained affiliation with the Boy Scouts of America, where he has served in several capacities for more than 55 years. He previously served as a council officer and currently acts as the president of Area 6 of the Central Region, as well as a member of the regional executive committee. As a result of his outstanding contributions to the Boy Scouts of America, he was honored with the Silver Beaver Award from his local council and the Silver Antelope Award from the National Council Court of Honor.
To prepare for his illustrious career, Mr. St. Pierre pursued a formal education at East Tennessee State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing management in 1969. Soon thereafter, he earned a diploma from the Indiana College of Mortuary Science in 1970. Completing postgraduate coursework in leadership dynamics at Indiana University, as well as further mortuary coursework at the National Foundation Funeral Service, he received a degree in economics from Northwestern University. After making profound strides in his field, he earned an honorary doctorate from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1994.
In recognition of his exceptional accomplishments, Mr. St. Pierre has accrued several accolades during his impressive career. The Indiana Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Mason gave him two Distinguished Service Awards in 1987 and 2003, and he received Indiana’s Highest Civilian Award in 1999. In addition, he was the recipient of several Distinguished Service Awards from the Indiana College of Mortuary Science.
