A versatile and venerated figure in the field of management, Ms. Engstrom has amassed more than four decades of professional experience in the industry. Currently serving as a senior management consultant since 1976, she previously acted as an administrative manager at the Microband Corporation of America in Washington, DC, from 1972 to 1974.
Throughout her career, Ms. Engstrom has also delved into the realm of artistic expression, having been a teacher at the Palos Verdes Art Center, the University of Kansas, the College of the Atlantic, and the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators International Conference at Evora University. Alongside her primary endeavors, she also lent her time and expertise to the Smithsonian as a volunteer, the National Zoological Park as a keeper aide, and the Parent Teacher Association as president. Originally involved in art as a hobby in the 1980s, she began pursuing her artistic expression full time after she was invited to join the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators.
Ms. Engstrom’s art has been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions, including at the Palos Verdes Art Center. She was additionally an artist and writer for the Endangered Species Note Cards and for “International Wildlife Rancher.” Notably, she was also a cover artist for the “International Studybook.” An artist and writer of the Guild of National Science Illustrators newsletter from 1988 to 1989 and since 1999, she was also the president of the California chapter of the guild from 2000 to 2002.
In recognition of her exceptional contributions to art, Ms. Engstrom was honored with the People’s Choice Award from the Artists Open Group at the Palos Verdes Art Center in 2000. In addition, she has been selected for inclusion in several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
