Richard Winder, Legal Foundation Administrator and Consultant at the Michigan State Bar Foundation, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in financial and data management.
Amassing more than four decades of professional experience, Mr. Winder has been serving as the finance manager and deputy director of the Michigan State Bar Foundation in Lansing, MI, since 1991 and 1994, respectively, where he oversees all financial and data management regarding the bar foundation’s investments. With a diverse background in business administration and law, he previously held the role of principal of Resilience, Inc., executive vice president of Management Options, Inc., and Management Leading, Inc., attorney and law clerk at Willingham & Cot, and a teaching assistant and graduate instructor at Brigham Young University. Locally, he has served on the Water and Woods Field Service Council in Flint, MI, since 2013.
To prepare for his illustrious career, Mr. Winder pursued a formal education at Brigham Young University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, and Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, in 1974 and 1978, respectively. He subsequently graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a Master of Business Administration in 1988. Mr. Winder has been admitted to practice law in Michigan and Utah, as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah.
Among his notable achievements, Mr. Winder is proud of his time spent as a speaker during the World Conference on Quality and Improvement with the American Society for Quality for several years between 2000 and 2018. In addition, he has been a presenter at workshops with the National Association of IOLTA Programs. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to law and management, he was presented with the Chairman’s Award from the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce in 1992. Looking toward the future, Mr. Winder hopes to retire and go on mission trips with his church.
