Other notable roles include executive director of the Real Estate Investment Securities Association, director of the American College of Sports Medicine Foundation, research director at the William E. Smith Institute for Association Research, philanthropic studies faculty member at Indiana University-Purdue University, executive director of the Association Research Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action, president of the Altrusa Foundation of Indianapolis, and executive director of the Roller Skating Association International.

Dr. Mandusic Finley prepared for her endeavors by earning a PhD from Union Institute and University, an MBA from Indiana University, a Master of Arts in history and museum studies from Case Western Reserve, and a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University. She also became a certified association executive (CAE), fundraising executive (CFRE), and meeting planner (CMP). To keep in touch with her professional community, Dr. Mandusic Finley became involved with prominent organizations like the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Indiana Society of Association Executives, the American Society of Association Executives, and the National Society of Fundraising Executives. Her peers appreciated her tenacity and passion, and honored her with the Association Executive of the Year award in 2002, among various others.
