Mr. Pearce has been the president of Nova Biologicals, a specialty microbiology testing laboratory, since 1993, also serving as the clinical laboratory director of the organization for the same amount of time. He has been the environmental laboratory director for the Wichita County Health Department, a laboratory instructor for the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, a specialist in microbiology for the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and an assistant professor of pathology for the Baylor College of Medicine. Related to his career, he has been the study director for various laboratory studies, a consultant of mold assessment for the Texas Department of Health Services and a science academic adviser for the Conroe Independent School District. Mr. Pearce earned a Bachelor of Science from Sam Houston State University, a Master of Science from the University of Arkansas, a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of North Texas in 1973 and certification with the International Trade Council as a testing and quality control solutions provider.

Related to his career, Mr. Pearce has been a board member for the Conroe and Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce and an appointee of the Texas critical infrastructure and key resource protection council under Governor Rick Perry. He has co-authored “Reprocessing of single-use endoscopic variceal band ligation devices: a pilot study,” which received an award in 2017 and was published in the medical journal Endoscopy. Additional awards he has received include the Exceptional Service in the Public Interest Award from the Federal Bureau of Investigations as well as numerous awards related to racquetball, one of his favorite hobbies. He holds leadership roles with several organizations, serving as an international trainer in water quality and board member for Living Water International and president of the Greater Houston Chapter of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association. More of Mr. Pearce’s accomplishments include maintaining and directing over half a dozen laboratories that emitted technical excellence, customer satisfaction, high profitability and adaptability to the changing demands of the healthcare system.

Interested in microbiology and clinical pathology, Mr. Pearce and he wanted to pursue a career in the sciences. He attributes his success to the respect he maintains for his work and the pride he takes in it. He has been aware of the importance of biological studies, revering his work with dignity and dedication in order to continue making advancements. He specialized in many aspects of his work, often inspiring others to follow his example. He is renowned for team building, technical support, written and verbal communications, technical knowledge and perseverance to accomplish goals. Mr. Pearce has also been appreciated for his dedication to the work process and consideration for his employees and peers.
