Hardworking and knowledgeable, Mr. Kraus is a renowned engineering management expert, earning a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1941. He first worked as an industrial engineer to the industrial engineer manager for TRW, Inc., in Cleveland from 1941 to 1961, then serving as a special assistant for Atomics International in Chatsworth, CA, from 1961 to 1965. Mr. Kraus took his talents to McDonnell Douglas Astronautics Company in Huntington Beach, CA, holding the position of branch chief from 1966 to 1974. He obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1972, subsequently serving as president of Kraus and DuVall, Inc., in Santa Ana, CA, from 1975 to 1983. Following this esteemed position, Mr. Kraus returned to McDonnell Douglas Space Systems Company, serving as senior manager from 1983 to 1993. Additionally, he has been a consultant for the Technology Associates of Southern California in Santa Ana, CA from 1974 to 1975 and has been the chair of the Hereditary Society since 2015.

Mr. Kraus has been instrumental in improving the US military’s protective packaging system and shipping department methods. He has held two patents belonging to TRW, Inc., contributing his expertise to the patents. His career-related pursuits include serving as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Class of 1941 secretary since 2008, lecturer for the Northrop Institute of Technology and authoring the “Handbook of Reliability Engineering and Management.” Bettering any organization with which he is affiliated, Mr. Kraus holds membership with Friends of Oasis, the Oasis Sailing Club, National Society of Professional Engineers, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Club of Southern California and the Newport Beach Yacht Club. He has also held membership with the American Defense Preparedness Association, now known as the National Defense Industries Association. Recognized for his illustrious success, Dr. Kraus has been presented The Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who in the World.
