Icie Alexander, Communications Executive, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in communications and training.
For many years, Ms. Alexander displayed her proficiency in communications as an executive in the field and was tasked with training others. As her career has taken her through many different avenues, she was able to garner a wealth of experience in a variety of industries, such as education, loans and printing. Learning about these fields has resulted in an expertise that cannot be matched. Prior to retiring, she served as the President of the International Training in Communications. She has also served as a secretary of the labor union at the Columbus Development Center and an instructor of printing at the Columbus State Institute. Ms. Alexander has also put her leadership skills to the test as the chairman of the Ohio Federation of Women’s Clubs.
In 1972, Ms. Alexander earned a supervisor diploma from the Ohio State Extension. She has been recognized as the member of the year of the East Mount Olivet Baptist Church and with a Dedicated Service Award from the Mount Calvary Baptist District Association. Throughout her career, she has maintained a number of professional affiliations, including, but not limited to, the East Columbus Democratic Club, the East Columbus Civic Association, the Franklin County Democratic Women’s Club, the Columbus Inner City Lions and the Community Service Club.
