An accomplished man with nearly 40 years of experience in the publishing industry, Mr. Ross has excelled in educational publishing. An educational technology consultant, he primarily works with global publishers, creating and marketing educational digital content. In preparation for his career, he has earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota in 1974 and a Master of Arts from Brandeis University in 1977 as well as certification from the Stanford Center for Professional Education in 2000. Recently, Mr. Ross founded Ross & Associates in Chicago, successfully serving as the president of the organization since 2017. Prior to this exciting feat, he has been the senior vice president for Encyclopedia Britannica in Chicago from 2002 to 2017 and the executive vice president for World Book, Inc., from 1992 to 2002, both in Chicago. Additionally, he has worked as the editorial director for the NTC Publishing Group, in Lincolnwood, IL, from 1983 to 1992 and the editor for Time-Life Books in Tokyo from 1979 to 1983. Furthermore, Mr. Ross has lent his time and talents to other pursuits, serving on the board directors for Financial Mentors of America and on the board of advisers for Teacher Created Materials, A Pass Education, Semmx, Inc., and A+ Media.

Receptive to new ideas, Mr. Ross is an amiable man who betters any organization with which he is involved. He holds membership with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations and the Chicago Book Clinic. A testament to his leadership, Mr. Ross has held leadership positions with the Association of Educational Publication, his fellow members electing him to serve on the board of directors from 1999 to 2004 and president from 2002 to 2003. Honored and recognized for contributions to the field of publishing, he has been named to the Educational Publishing Hall of Fame by the Association of Educational Publishers in 2009 as well as the Print Media Production Executives Hall of Fame in 2002. Mr. Ross has published numerous creative works, considering his latest work, “Dealing With Disruption: Lessons From the Publishing Industry,” to be a career highlight. He feels tremendous joy upon seeing people whom he has worked with grow to be industry leaders reinforcing his kind, generous nature and leadership abilities. Influential in the field of publishing and an inspiration to many, Mr. Ross has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the Media and Communication, Who’s Who in the Midwest and Who’s Who in the World.
