Prior to these illustrious roles, she was a research analyst and director of new electronic data processing business with Insurance Company North America from 1971 to 1974, a marketing officer with IBM from 1967 to 1970, and a freelance writer from 1965 to 1967. Previously, she was the executive secretary to the president in the York division of Borg-Warner Corporation from 1962 to 1965. Ms. Livingston commenced her career in the personnel and public relations departments of the American Can Company from 1951 to 1960.
Alongside her primary endeavors, Ms. Livingston has been a frequent speaker in the field, having been a speaker on identity since 1994 and a corporate image consultant since 1984. A freelance writer in her spare time, she has contributed myriad articles to technical journals within her area of expertise.
To prepare for her illustrious career, Ms. Livingston pursued formal education at Adelphi University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1951. She subsequently completed postgraduate coursework at a number of academic institutions, including New York University, the American Academy of Dramatic Art, Columbia University, IBM Systems and Marketing Schools, Brandon School for Electronic Data, and The Pennsylvania State University.
To remain aware of developments within the industry, Ms. Livingston has maintained affiliation with several organizations, such as the American Association of University Women, the Public Relations Society of America, the Economic Club of York Chamber of Commerce, the Philadelphia Club of Advertising Women, and the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts. Likewise, she is associated with the World Affairs Council and Kappa Kappa Gamma, among other prominent societies.
In recognition of her exceptional contributions to the marketing and communication industries, Ms. Livingston has accrued several accolades throughout her impressive career. IBM honored her with the Award in Marketing and Sales from 1969 to 1970, having previously won an Award for Innovative Product Application in 1969. Notably, she has also won various awards for journalism. Ms. Livingston has been highlighted in several editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of American Women.
