Rev. Arthur D. Eichhorn, EdD, Minister at St. Salvator Lutheran Church, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in religious services.
With more than 40 years of professional experience, Rev. Dr. Eichhorn is a celebrated and respected figure in the realm of religious services. Serving as a pastor at St. Salvator Lutheran Church in Venedy, IL, since 2009, he previously held several other positions within the church system, including as a chaplain at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital from 2008 to 2011, a vicar at Calvary Lutheran Church from 2007 to 2008, an organist at Concordia Seminary from 2005 to 2007, and a chaplain at St. Luke’s Hospital from 2003 to 2005. In addition, he acted as the director of music at Timothy Lutheran Church from 1991 to 2005, Holy Cross Lutheran Church from 1981 to 1991, Our Savior Lutheran Church and School from 1976 to 1981, and St. John Lutheran Church from 1974 to 1976. Alongside his primary endeavors, Rev. Dr. Eichhorn served as a part-time instructor and director at the St. Louis Center with Concordia University and an artist-in-residence at Lutheran Theological Seminary in Pretoria, South Africa, in 2017, which he considers to be the highlight of his career.
A contributor of myriad articles to esteemed journals, Rev. Dr. Eichhorn pursued a formal education at Concordia University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in 1975 and 1976, respectively. He subsequently attended Webster University, receiving a Master of Arts in 1986. After obtaining some hands-on experience in the field, he received a Doctor of Education from California Coast University in 1997. Most recently, he received an additional Master of Arts from Concordia Seminary in 2010. He is a certified elementary teacher in the states of Missouri and Illinois.
Rev. Dr. Eichhorn became involved in church music from the tender age of 6, as his mother encouraged him to take piano lessons. After he turned 12 years old, he decided that he wanted to pursue church music and education as a full-time career. Attributing his success to his high school choir director, who inspired him to further his education in music, Rev. Dr. Eichhorn is a member of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians and was the former president of his local chapter of the Chorister’s Guild.
In recognition of his exceptional contributions to religion, Rev. Dr. Eichhorn has been highlighted in several editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Entertainment, Who’s Who in the Midwest, and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America. He enjoys visiting relatives and walking in his spare time.
