Amassing more than 55 years of professional experience, Mr. Stark is a celebrated and venerated figure in the fields of financial management and education. Throughout his career, he has held a number of roles with various banking corporations, such as Industrial Valley Bank, E.I. DuPont de Nemours, Old Stone Bank, Dime Bank, Bank Management Partners, Centennial Federal Bank, Eastern Bank and Independence Bank, among others. Likewise, he served the University of Rhode Island as vice president of business and finance and chief financial officer from 1999 to 2005, and he has been acting in the same roles at the University of West Virginia since 2015. He also briefly served as the vice president of development at Amos Honee from 2011 to 2012. He is currently on a contract at Alderson Broaddus University as vice president of finance and chief financial officer, which ends in June 2019.

To prepare for his illustrious career, Mr. Stark pursued formal education at Illinois Wesleyan University, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1959. He subsequently held a Sanxay Fellowship in international economics at Princeton University between 1959 and 1960. He concluded his education at the prestigious Harvard University, graduating with a Master of Business Administration in 1962.

Mr. Stark has been on the board of directors and as co-chairman of the Endowment and Investment Committee Chorus of Westerly and on the board of directors of several other organizations, such as the Gilbert Stuart Museum, the Redwood Library and Athenaeum, the Elizabeth Johnson Pawtucket History Research Center, the Preservation Society of Pawtucket, and St. Martins Episcopal Church. He has maintained affiliation with the Financial Executives Institute, the Providence Art Club and the Harvard Club of New York City, among others. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to his industry, Mr. Stark has been highlighted in several editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the East and Who’s Who in the World.
