Natalie Jeanette Skeet, Information Specialist at New York State Higher Education Services Corporation, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in information science.

Drawing upon nearly four decades of industry experience, Ms. Skeet has served the New York State Higher Education Services Corps for the majority of her career, having been acting as an information specialist since 1983 and on the advisory board of directors since 1982. Alongside these appointments, she has been on the advisory board of the Financial Aid Colleges and Technical Schools in New York City since 1982. Prior to these illustrious roles, she was a coordinator and program analyst with the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation between 1982 and 1983 and as an assistant director of student aid and financial aid counselor at Columbia University from 1979 to 1982. She commenced her career as a prevention and intervention specialist for the New York City Board of Education.

To prepare for her career, Ms. Skeet pursued formal education at Finch College, where she completed coursework in 1975. Thereafter, she attended Long Island University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1976. Earning a certificate in criminal justice soon thereafter, she also received a Master of Arts from Columbia University in 1980. She is a State of New York Notary Public as well.

In an effort to remain abreast of changes within her community, Ms. Skeet maintains affiliation with Alpha Kappa Alpha, where she was a former vice president and has been serving as a financial aid consultant since 1982, and the Finch College Alumni Association Foundation, having been a trust member. In recognition of her exceptional undertakings, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Finch College Alumni Association, which she cites as a highlight of her career. Likewise, she was honored with a Merit and Service Award from Alpha Kappa Alpha earlier in her career. She has been highlighted in the 15th edition of Who’s Who of American Women, published in 1986.
