Drawing upon more than 40 years of industry experience, Mr. Tambara is an esteemed orchardist and photographer who has been serving as president of Suzuki Tambara, Inc., since 2006, where he tends to the family farm. Alongside this pursuit, he has been a professional photography with Terry Tambara Photography since 1976. Influenced by the likes of his father and grandfather, who both had affinities for photography, Mr. Tambara earned a diploma in photography from the New York Institute of Photography in 1977. He also holds an Associate of Arts from Lane Community College and Bachelor of Science from Portland State University.
While pursuing his love for photography, Mr. Tambara served in a number of other executive roles throughout his career, including as a cosmetic executive for Origami Cosmetic Company, president of Asobi Industries, and vice president and general manager of Taisho International. He commenced his career as a graphic designer for Terry Tambara Design in 1976.
Mr. Tambara is the author of “American Photographers at the Turn of the Century.” Among the highlights of his career, he cites getting his photographs published and being a mentor to prospective photographers to be crowning moments of his career. He has notably been featured in the 20th edition of Who’s Who in the West in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the photography and farming industries.
