Serving in myriad positions during the formative years of his career with its subsidiary, Zions Management Services Company, he subsequently became an officer of Zions Bancorporation in 1977, holding this role until 2015. During this time, he became the executive vice president of capital markets and investments for Zions First National Bank with Zions Bancorporation in 1984, a position he held until his retirement in 2016. Alongside his primary endeavors, he previously served on the board of directors of the Federal Agricultural Mortgage Corporation, also known as Farmer Mac, from 1994 to 2010.
Mr. Hemingway holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah. Since enrolling in academia and pursuing a career, he has authored the book “Re-Empowerment of the States Amendment to the United States Constitution,” which is currently filed in the United States Congress as House Joint Resolution 32. He also hosts a YouTube channel regarding the same subject. Likewise, he has maintained affiliation with the Utah Bankers Association to remain abreast of recent developments within the field, serving the organization on their board of directors and as vice chairman and chairman between 1992 and 1996.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the finance industry, Mr. Hemingway has been highlighted in the first edition of Who’s Who in Corporate America and the fourth edition of Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America, as well as multiple editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, and Who’s Who in the West. Married to Gay Etta Jorgensen since 1977, he is the proud father of three sons. He also has three daughter-in-laws and eight grandchildren.
