Corky P.H. Steiner, Toy Consultant at Corky Steiner Consulting, LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the sales industry.
After a 33-year career in the toy industry with Kenner Products Company, General Mills and Hasbro, Corky for the past 10 or so years has continued working for himself as a consultant helping would-be toy manufacturers understand more about working with the Latin American market. Corky graduated from the top high school in Cincinnati and in the state of Ohio, and pursued a higher education at Tulane University where he earned a BA in English with minors in Spanish and Sociology in 1965. From there, he went on to receive a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Industrial Relations from the University of Chicago’s esteemed business school in 1967.
From there he went on to join Kenner Products Co. of Cincinnati Ohio in 1967 and eventually earned the promotion of co-Vice President of Hasbro toys in Latin America. In between those positions Corky served simultaneous as director of Kenner’s export center and also as the director of department store, supermarket and drugstore sales. Corky’s career began in 1967 with the General Mills acquisition of Kenner and he remained with the company through numerous acquisitions up to including Hasbro’s 1991 acquisition.
In 2003, Corky formed the Corky Steiner Consulting Company taking advantage of his Latin American exposure plus his work with outside toy inventors. Corky was one of the founding members of the Walnut Hills High School Alumni Association…and most recently has served as a Vice President of the association. He also served as President of the limited board of the Losantiville Country Club and later as Vice President of the senior board.
He also held membership with the honorary society of Tulane University’s Omicron Delta Kappa. While at Tulane, Corky served as President of the dormitory council and student body President of the College of Arts and Sciences. He also has served on the board of directors of the Jewish Vocational Service and the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati. Further credits include work with the Boy Scouts of America and a former chairman of the Cub-o-Rama and President of the Sleepaway Camp…Camp Livingston.
Corky was inducted into the Tulane University Hall of Fame and also received the Kavod Distinguished Service Award from Cincinnati’s Jewish Center. Morning Star Promotions is pleased to welcome Mr. Corky Steiner as a top professional of 2020.
