Margaret Scott, Aerospace Company Executive, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in technical illustration and aerospace management.
Ms. Scott graduated high school during World War II, and due to this tumultuous time, she decided that working in aviation would be the best way that she could help the efforts. According to Ms. Scott, she started from the ground up, never expecting to stay in the industry but doing as so because she fell in love with the field. She started as a flight test analyst for North American Aviation in 1943. In 1951, she became a graphics artist with the company, and held this role until 1974. That year, she became the illustrations project coordinator at Rockwell International. She then moved into more roles as the department head of the graphics art department and finally, before retiring, served as the project manager for the L.A. Basin Data Services Center at Rockwell International.
In addition to these positions, she served as a member of the Trade Advisory Committee at El Camino College, Glendale Community College and West Los Angeles College. Ms. Scott studied at both the Los Angeles City College and El Camino College. She has been featured among several editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and Who’s Who of American Women in recognition of her contributions. Looking back on her career, she feels proud knowing her contributions were able to make a difference. She believes her professional growth was due to her perseverance, doing what was expected of her and doing it well.
