Ms. Rubenstein has been the CEO and owner of the custom gears, assemblies and precision specialties company Allied Specialty Precision since 2005. She had previously served as the vice president and assistant treasurer at the company prior to taking on her current roles. The company, located in Mishawaka, IN was started in 1954 and is certified by the National Women Business Owners Corporation. As a leader, she maintains abreast of industry trends with professional affiliation to the National Tooling and Machining Association and Hadassah. She served as a board member of the National Tooling and Machining Association from 2004 to 2007, as a member of the Education and the Audit teams from 2005 to 2010 and was the Education team leader from 2008 to 2009.
Throughout her career, Ms. Rubenstein has explored many of her interests. She first earned a Bachelor of Arts in linguistics from the University of Michigan in 1974. She continued at the Teachers College at Columbia University to receive a Master of Arts in 1976. In this venture, she specialized in teaching English to speakers of other languages. In 1978, she earned an addition Master of Arts in linguistics from the University of Illinois. She followed this degree with doctoral studies in linguistics at the institution for an additional two years. For the first decade of her career, she focused on teaching and working as an educational administrator and librarian, providing her services to the Teachers College at Columbia University, the University of Illinois, the Illinois State Geological Survey, the Springfield Board of Jewish Educators, the Lincoln Land Community College, the Community Hebrew School in Charleston, SC, the Citadel and College of Charleston and the University of Notre Dame. In 1984, she began working as a legal secretary.
Ms. Rubenstein has been a member of the Temple Beth-El Sisterhood since 1987 and was elected as Temple Beth-El’s president in 2018 for a two-year term. Throughout her career, she has contributed to numerous articles and professional journals. Ms. Rubenstein enjoys her work with Allied Specialty Precision and endeavors to continue the quality work the company has produced throughout the decades. She helps the company maintain an active membership with the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA), American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), American Society for Metals (ASM), and the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce. In addition, the company supports the F.I.R.S.T. robotic program at Penn High School in Mishawaka, IN.
