With a deep love for history, Ms. Davis has dedicated her career to the preservation and sharing of knowledge. Her mother, Barbara Jean, was Welsh and imprinted her love of the Romans and the Vikings on her daughter. Ms. Davis’ father, Robert Lee Davis, served in the Army and relocated the family to Germany for nine years where they often visited castles, furthering Ms. Davis’ love for history. She pursued her passion, earning a BFA in Studio Arts and an MA in American Studies, both from Texas Christian University. She has been the museum manager of the White Settlement Historical Museum in White Settlement, TX, since 2006 and has acted as the president of the White Settlement Historical Society from 2008 to 2010. Prior to these occupations, Ms. Davis has served as a sales administrative assistant for Perry Homes, a researcher for Page, Anderson & Turnbull, Inc., in San Francisco and a freelance ceramic and string art designer, among other ventures.
Ms. Davis has undertaken additional responsibilities, including alternative precinct election judge for the Democratic Party from 1994 to 2006 and a member of the management advisory panel for Chemical Week in 1981. She has been affiliated with organizations such as the Newfoundland and Labrador Family History Society, the Fort Worth Science and History Museum the Tarrant County Historical Society the Botanical Research Institute of Texas, the Texas Association of Museums, the Royal Over-Seas League and the Friends of the Royal Flying Corps. Ms. Davis expertise has afforded her awards such as the Certificate of Recognition from the North Texas WWI Centennial Commemoration Committee and Exhibit in 2017, the William E. Jary Jr. Memorial Award from the Tarrant County Historical Commission in 2014 and the Certificate of Appreciation from the White Settlement Historical Society in 2009. Furthermore, Ms. Davis has been presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and has been featured in numerous editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest and Who’s Who of American Women.
