Jason Lewis, Retired Communications Executive at AT&T, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in communication technology.
Mr. Lewis’ first job in communications was as a telephone installer in the US Army, which paved the way for his career in the field. He served in the US Army from 1964 to 1966 and received a Certificate of Appreciate for his service with the 6th Howitzer Battalion. In his career, he worked as a field engineer for Lucent Technologies and earned a Customer Achievement Award from the company in recognition of the quality services he provided. From 1983 to 1984, he garnered experience as a field engineer and telephone technician of Pacific Bell. From 1984 until 1999, Mr. Lewis spent his time with AT&T. He is a retired communications executive with the company.
With natural abilities coupled with the training he received in the US Army, Mr. Lewis supplemented his skills with coursework from Stockton College and San Jose Junior College. His achievements in the field include being selected as a Deputy Governor of the American Biographical Institute Research Association and inclusion into the International Who’s Who of Intellectuals and the Who’s Who Historical Society. Mr. Lewis was also a key figure in installing alarms on telephones and working with IBM to incorporate their computers with a telephone system. He is also a patentee in the field.
Mr. Lewis has been included in Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the West, Who’s Who in the Media and Communication and Who’s Who in the World. He has been a member of the US Naval Institute, the International Platform Association, the Cousteau Society, the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, the San Francisco Zoological Society, the Planetary Society and the National World War II Museum. In his retirement, Mr. Lewis enjoys photography and astronomy.
