Carol A. White, President of Kick-Aid, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in coaching.
Considered a trailblazer for women’s coaches in the 1970s, Ms. White established herself as a football coach while teaching at Monroe High School in Albany, GA. In addition to these two roles, she excelled as a librarian for the school for more than 15 years. In 1985, Ms. White joined the faculty at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she served as an assistant football coach, reference librarian, and coordinator for special events. Driven by her love of sports and her natural inclination as a teacher both inside and outside of the classroom, Ms. White established Kick-Aid, Inc., in 1987 as a way to provide intensive instruction on punting and kicking to football players in the Athens, GA, region. Her incredible work has led her to become the first female football coach to be honored by the American Football Coaches Association with lifetime time membership. She is also distinguished as the only woman football coach at the NCAA I-A level. Today, Kick Aid, Inc., offers private lessons, team visits during the fall playing season or spring practice, 1-day clinics during the winter and spring, and 4-day residential camps during the summer.
Ms. White holds a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from the University of Southern Mississippi, which she earned in 1969. She achieved a Master of Science in library science from Florida State University in 1970 and an EdS from the University of Georgia in 1977. To remain at the top of her field, she is a member of the American Football Coaches Association, the American Library Association, the National Education Association, the Georgia Association of Educators, the Academy of Management, and Phi Kappa Phi. As she looks to the future, Ms. White intends to continue providing football coaching services as she truly believes it is her life’s work.
