John Ciochetty, Protective Services Official, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in protection.
With more than 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Ciochetty has been a custom protection officer at G4S Global Solutions-USA since 2017, also serving as a patrol officer at Ohio Dominican University in 2018. Prior to obtaining these positions, he was with the public safety campus police with Ohio Wesleyan University from 2001 to 2017 and a loss prevention investigator with Meijer Corporation from 1995 to 2000.
From 1990 to 1991, Mr. Ciochetty was a sociology and criminology instructor at West Virginia University, having been a judicial officer of probation services with the West Virginia Supreme Court from 1988 to 1990. Earlier in his career, he was a deputy sheriff with Wood County Sheriff’s Department from 1986 to 1988 and a political science instructor with Marshall University from 1976 to 1986. A highlight of Mr. Ciochetty’s career was being commissioned as an officer in the United States Army from 1980 to 1988.
Mr. Ciochetty was inspired to get into his field while he was in college. During breaks from school, he would work as an investigator and he has a family history of law enforcement. Mr. Ciochetty began his career as a student at Marshall University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1980. He continued his studies at the school, earning a Master of Science in 1988. He is certified by Purdue University in campus law enforcement, by FEMA and EMA in NIMSICS incident command course, by Denison University in terrorist education, and by the West Virginia Department of Corrections in nonviolent intervention. Within the next five years, Mr. Ciochetty sees himself doing ever greater things and potentially reentering the judicial field. As a testament to his success, Mr. Ciochetty has been featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America and has been lauded with the Albert Nelson Marquis Who’s Who Lifetime Achievement Award.
