Anthony V. Vecchiotti, Vice President of The Northwoods Corporation, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the insurance field.
Mr. Vecchiotti has been an insurance professional since establishing his career in 1982; however, his expertise is a well-rounded blend of experience managing insurances businesses from the ground up and seeing them through merger and acquisition integrations. As the vice president of The Northwoods Corporation, he works with small agencies across the state of New York to provide integrative business management strategies designed to propel success. He demonstrates top skills from his past experiences in the field, which includes prominent roles as president of North Coast New York, personal lines manager for Riedman Insurance/Brown and Brown of New York, commercial account executive for Barker, Heslip, Bradshaw Agency, and sales manager for Prudential Financial Services.
Mr. Vecchiotti is a licensed insurance agent with a strong background in business management as evidenced by his education, which includes a Bachelor of Management Science from the Nazareth College of Rochester. He also is certified by the Center for Professional Advancement and is an accredited instructor of insurance and continued education by the Independent Insurance Agents Association. Mr. Vecchiotti feels that a proponent of his success has been working for agencies at every size, which has allowed him to see all of the different sides to the operations of businesses. He has worked for companies with less than 20 employees all the way up to companies exceeding 100 people. To impact his industry on a wide level, Mr. Vecchiotti has been involved with a number of professional organizations, including the Independent Insurance Agents of New York and American MENSA. He also co-authored the National General Insurance Examination in 2011.
Outside of his professional work, Mr. Vecchiotti is incredibly involved in his civic projects in the community. In short, he places an important emphasis on giving back. Since 2003, he has been the president of the Honeoye Lake Park Association and chairman of the public affairs committee of the New York state chapter of March of Dimes. He has committed himself to the March of Dimes for more than 30 years, having led a number of fundraising and volunteer efforts. In fact, his impact has been so great in his region that an annual award was created in his name. The “Tony Vecchiotti Award,” is given each year to volunteers for their long-term service to the March of Dimes in upstate New York. As he looks ahead to the future, Mr. Vecchiotti intends to continue in his professional and civic work while seeking out new opportunities in both areas for success.
