David Baker Himmelreich, Senior Vice President of the Wealth Enhancement Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in tax, estate and investment planning.
In Darien, CT, Mr. Himmelreich is highly regarded for his expertise in wealth management blended with his legal experience. At the core of his professional work ethic is the mantra “keep it simple.” Throughout the duration of his career, he has worked hard to help his clients meet their goals in the simplest and most efficient way possible. Today, he leads the executive team for the Wealth Enhancement Group, a firm that he merged with Hynes, Himmelreich, Glennon & Company, the 35-person law practice that he has led for more than 32 years. Driven by his desire to conduct civic work in conjunction with legal services, Mr. Himmelreich attributes his success to the support of his business partner, Tom Hines, and his great friend, Werner Peters.
Mr. Himmelreich prepared for his career by investing his time and efforts into his education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Lafayette University in 1976 and a JD from the University of Pittsburgh in 1979. Soon thereafter, he became admitted to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania and the United States Tax Court. With expertise in tax, estate and investment planning, he found success in early roles, including as a senior attorney for Ayco Corporation, where he remained for five years before taking on the opportunity to serve as a senior consultant for KPMG. It was after two years in this role that Mr. Himmelreich expanded his reach by establishing his own law firm. Today, he continues in his support of his profession through his work as a member of the Connecticut State Treasurer’s Advisory Council.
Outside of his professional work, Mr. Himmelreich is regarded for his civic involvement. His noteworthy positions in this area include being a former member of the board of directors for Project Return in Westport, CT, former director of the Alcohol and Drug Dependency Council of Connecticut, and former board member for the GRACE Foundation of New York (previously Grace J. Fippinger Foundation). Known as someone who is pleasant, funny and direct, Mr. Himmelreich intends to continue in his incredible work in the civic realm and as an entrepreneur in the years to come while seeking out new opportunities for growth and success.
