Dorothy Bolton, Co-Founder, Executive and Writer for Ridge Associates has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in leadership and education.
Everything seemed to flow naturally for Ms. Bolton, who has expertly synthesized her talents and career pursuits. She began working as a photographer when she was 16 years old, modeling fashion on the cover of “Look” magazine, and continued to model before undertaking other roles. After earning a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University, Ms. Bolton served as the director of religious education for St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Syracuse, NY. She then earned a Master of Education from Syracuse University and took her talents to Board Educational Cooperative Services in Syracuse, where she worked as a school psychologist. She undertook writing and several years later, co-founded Ridge Associates in Cazenovia, NY, with her husband Robert Bolton. The two wrote “Social Styles, Management Styles” and Ms. Bolton has had success serving as executive coaches until her retirement in 2000.
Ms. Bolton appreciates the seamlessness of her career pursuits as everything seemed to be a natural progression. The thing she is proudest of is being an executive coach for Ridge Associates. She would spend eight hours a day with people who had already achieved professional success but lacked interpersonal skills. She helped people achieve greater interpersonal skills and is proud to have shared her talents and insight with others. In addition to this success, Ms. Bolton holds membership with the Mayo Clinic Legacy, the Syracuse Alumni Association and the Kappa Alpha Theta Alumni Association. As a testament to her achievements, Ms. Bolton has been lauded with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award and has been featured in the 18th edition of Who’s Who of American Women.
