Gordon J. Warner, President of the Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Company, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in construction.
An award-winning professional who believes that hard work and industriousness leads to success, Mr. Warner celebrates a career in construction management that has brought him around the world to more than 70 countries and nearly every continent. Highly regarded in his industry, he received a 50 Year Award from the Scottish Rites Freemasonry in 2017 and a 50 Year Shriners Award in 2019 for his outstanding contributions to his field. Today, he finds success as president of the Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Company, a role that he has excelled in since 1985. Throughout his career, Mr. Warner has held several roles with the company including general manager of worldwide construction, manager of the Southeast US division, manager of construction in the Central United States, project engineer architect and engineer. His career is supported by his education, which includes a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering with distinction from the University of Nebraska.
When asked of his success, Mr. Warner notes that he is proud to have assisted in the surveying and construction of many prominent buildings, including the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri. Considered a leader in his field, he remains involved in industry efforts through his memberships with the American Society of Civil Engineers, the University of Nebraska Alumni Association, the National Association of Construction Boilermaker Employers, and the National Tank Division Employer’s Association. As he looks to the future, Mr. Warner intends to continue in his professional pursuits while seeking out new opportunities to impact his industry further.
