Colonel Palma Marie Oseguera, Retired Exchange Officer at the United States Marine Corps, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the military.

Retiring from the United States Marine Corps in 1999 after 30 years of faithful service, Ms. Oseguera most recently served as an exchange officer in Camp Pendleton, CA, in 1996, holding the position for three years. Commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1969, she advanced through the grades to colonel by 1991. During her time in the military, she served in several roles, including as an assistant exchange officer for the Marine Corps Air Station in South Carolina, California and Arizona, classified material control officer in Okinawa, Japan, exchange officer in Washington, DC, administrative officer for the Marine Corps Air Station in Santa Ana, CA, and administrative officer for the Landing Force Training Command in San Diego, CA. Later in her career, she was a deputy assistant chief of staff in Camp Pendleton, CA, an associate member of the Mobilization Training Unit Del. 1, and an administrative officer for the Mobilization Training Unit in San Diego.

The recipient of a Bachelor of Arts in physical education from Marycrest College in 1969, Ms. Oseguera decided to enter the military after witnessing the nature of the public school system and being unhappy with what she saw. To remain abreast of developments in the industry, she maintains affiliation with the American Association of University Women, the Marine Corps Association, the Marine Corps Reserve Officer Association, the Marine Corps Aviation Association and the Women Marines Association, among others. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the military, she received a National Defense Award and Navy Unit Citation. She has also been highlighted in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who of American Women.
