David Duryee, Author and Advisor, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in management and financial consulting.
When Mr. Duryee was in college, he first set out in the banking industry as he believed it would give him a broad understanding and exposure to all different kinds of business. What he discovered was the disconnect between businesses owners and finance, wherein small business owners often had difficulty understanding or communicating with financial professionals due to the difficulty of terms and jargon. Upon this realization, Mr. Duryee set out to close the gap on the disconnect and has since written several books for business owners to help them understand more thoroughly. He has published 60 Minute CFO: Bridging the Gap Between Business Owner, Banker and CPA, Lead to Succeed: The Closely Held Business Survival Manual, and The Business Owners Guide to Achieving Financial Success.
Mr. Duryee received a well-rounded education in business that has aided in his own work. He first earned a Bachelor of Arts in business from the University of Washington in 1961 and later received an MBA from the institution in 1969. He also received a diploma from Pacific Coast Banking Schools in 1973. Mr. Duryee served in the US Army from 1962 to 1964 and received an Army Commendation Medal for Outstanding Leadership. In his career, he has worked for the Seattle First National Bank, Management Advisory Services, Inc., Moss Adams Advisory Services and Horizon Management Services LLC. Furthermore, he has served on the board of directors of several corporations and lectured across the country.
