Today, he finds success as the founder and managing director of Solaris Group, LLC. He established the group in 2004 after having already amassed nearly four decades of experience in the field. Previously, Mr. Bellas served as chairman and chief executive officer of Neuberger Berman Trust Co., managing director of Offitbank, board of directors member for Lehman Brothers, and general partner of Loeb Rhoades & Co. Driven by a purposeful passion for his field, Mr. Bellas prepared for his career by achieving a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University, a JD from the University of Chicago and a MBA from Columbia University. Today, he remains at the top of his field through his affiliations with the American Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association, the Economic Club of New York and the Brook Club.

Within his region, Mr. Bellas is known for his extensive work for investment committees and boards on civic projects that are dear to him. He is a member of the board of directors for the English Concert of America, chairman of the board for the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, member of the board of directors for the American Friends of the Royal Ballet School, member of the Pilgrims of the United States and member of the investment committee for the Library of America. Previously, he has been involved with other prominent organizations including the Rockefeller University Committee on Trusts and Estates, Guild Hall, the Mercersburg Academy, the Yale School of Management, the Partnership for Children’s Rights, the Society for Neuroscience and the Century Association, among many others.  An award-winning scholar who recently received an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, Mr. Bellas intends to continue in his tremendous work in the years to come.
