Mauricio Pulido, CEO at GBG Energy Management LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in engineering and business administration.
Since 2012, Mr. Pulido has utilized his decades of skills in marketing, finance, agriculture and business in his current endeavor. As the head of the company, he attributes his success to his ability to manage people and fosters an open-door policy to facilitate good relationships with his coworkers and employees. Prior to becoming the CEO of GBG Energy Management, Mr. Pulido spent nearly two decades with Chevron, building his career in a variety of roles. These roles including serving as a transition manager, a portfolio strategy specialist, an underground storage tank systems coordinator, a Venezuelan retail manager and a regional sales manager. He has also honed his abilities with Texaco and SORO while in Colombia.
Mr. Pulido always enjoyed the field of engineering and as he was deciding on what to do in his life, he realized it was an emerging field and he could find success in it from the business side. In 1994, he earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering, finance, marketing and agroindustry from the Universidad de los Andes. From 1994 to 2012, he held a CSOC Supreme Regular certification. In 2016, and again in 2018, Mr. Pulido’s work was recognized with the Junior Achievement Jamaica’s Champions for Youth Presidents Award. He is also the recipient of the American Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Pulido looks toward the future with much optimism and excitement. As he continues to grow with the company, he looks forward to getting more companies to participate in their work. Mr. Pulido has also served in the Colombian Army and was part of a peacekeeping force between Egypt and Israel with the United Nations program called International Force and Observers. On a civic level, he has been involved with a number of organizations, including the American Chamber of Commerce in Jamaica.
