Harold Simpson, Founder of Monument Valley Simpson’s Trailhandler Tours, LLC and Owner of My Native Tours, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in travel accommodations.
Mr. Simpson’s connection with the picturesque Monument Valley region of Utah span generations as he, and his family before him, were all born and raised there. With his Trailhandler Tours company, visitors to the area experience the beauty and power of Mother Nature through his guidance. Mr. Simpson’s unrivaled knowledge and appreciation is fueled by his background- as a member of the Navajo nation/Dineh people, his culture, traditions and heritage are etched into the very history of the area. He founded the company in 1996 and in addition to maintaining the daily responsibilities of his work, is a protector of the land and culture that has fostered his people for generations.
Visitors to the region are in the most capable hands when being guided by Mr. Simpson. Mr. Simpson speaks Diné, the traditional Navajo language, and knows the lands of the Monument Valley better than anyone. He grew up among the rocks, exploring and uncovering many amazing things. In addition, he grew up surrounded by tradition, watching his grandmother Betty weave rugs and ride horses. With his company, he offers Jeep, hiking and overnight camping tours. His tours have received one of TripAdvisor’s highest honors- the Certificate of Excellence.
In addition to owning and operating Monument Valley Simpson’s Trailhandler Tours, he has a separate company called My Native Tours. This company offers over the road tours of the national park. Prior to launching his business ventures, Mr. Simpson has decades of experience in the tour and travel fields of the region. Knowing the value of hard work, his advice to fellow and aspiring members of his industry is to never give up. Mr. Simpson tells others, “your dream is everything you have and if you don’t see it through you will regret it the rest of your life.”
