Derek Eichenwald, Chief Executive Officer at Triumph Capital Management, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in finance and investment.
Mr. Eichenwald knew that he wanted to be in his field since he was young. He was always interested in financial planning and estate management. Originally, the newspaper’s section on finance piqued his interest in getting involved in the field. Mr. Eichenwald earned a BBA in finance and real estate from Colorado State University in 2002. He followed that up with earning a certificate in retirement and estate planning and accounting and finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s The Wharton School in 2006. He then received his series 7, 66 and 24 license registrations and is licensed in life, disability, health, and long-term care insurance.
Mr. Eichenwald is most proud of growing his business from nothing to something. He employs 22 people at his business. He started his career in 2003 as a vice president of AXA Advisors until 2008. He then moved on to become a senior portfolio manager and financial advisor for Raymond James from 2008 to 2009. From there, he became the chief executive officer of JP Turner & Company from 2009 to 2015. Mr. Eichenwald is now the chief executive officer and senior investment executive at Triumph Capital Management, a position he has held since 2016. Mr. Eichenwald’s goal now is to continue to grow his company, doubling, and even quadrupling it in size. When he is not working, he is volunteering for Jewish charities and the Denver Chamber of Commerce.
As a testament to his success, Mr. Eichenwald has been named a Five Star Awarded Wealth Manager in 2014, 2015 and 2017. He was also named a Top Ranked Investment Manager and Financial Planner by the Denver Business Journal in 2015 and 2016. Mr. Eichenwald’s company, Triumph Capital Management, has been ranked the 23rd largest wealth manager in Colorado in 2019. He has also been inducted as a member of the Financial Planning Association. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing.
