Stanley Hall, International Financial Consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of college and university development, consultation and educational administration.
As a young man, Mr. Hall graduated valedictorian of the class of 1951 from Milford Central School in Milford, New York and earned a Bachelor of Science from St. Lawrence University in 1955. During his four years in college, he completed U.S. Army Reserve Officers Training (ROTC) and received his commission as a Second Lieutenant. He went on active duty after graduation. Lt. Hall served as Company Commander of the 6016th Military Police Company and concurrently as Commanding Officer of the military prison at the Yuma Test Station in the Arizona Desert.
Following two years of active duty in the U.S. Army, Mr. Hall enrolled as a student at Purdue University and completed a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1959. He started working as a sales engineer for General Electric following graduation from Purdue University. He became supervisor of sales training at General Electric in 1962. Mr. Hall later worked for the American Management Association, where he directed Operation Enterprise for two years. He then returned to St. Lawrence University, where he served as director of development for five years. Mr. Hall completed his master’s degree in education there in 1968. He continued his night school studies and earned a Master of Science degree from Clarkson University in 1970.
During the next 18 years, Mr. Hall served as vice president for development at Hiram College, Purdue University, Hartwick College and Colgate University. He organized campaigns to raise millions for higher education in general and student scholarships and capital projects in particular throughout his career.
Mr. Hall departed from Colgate University in 1988, taking a position at Brakeley, John Price Jones Inc., as senior vice president. He additionally served as president of Brakeley recruiting. He served as president and chief executive officer at Leatherstocking Consultants from 1991 to 1995. Mr. Hall worked as a development consultant for the International College in Beirut from 1990 to 1993, and additionally served as an international development consultant to the Bermuda Cathedral. Throughout his extensive career as a consultant and administrator, he was a board member of several professional organizations, including the Purdue Research Foundation, the Bassett Hospital Foundation, Boy Scouts of America and the American Cancer Society. Additionally, he served as crusade chairman for the Upstate Cancer Crusade in New York in 1970. As a testament to his success, experience, and stature, Mr. Hall was featured in the 11th and 12th editions of Who’s Who in the World, the 24th and 25th editions of Who’s Who in the East, the 27th and 28th editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, and the 50th edition of Who’s Who in America.
