Ms. Felicia Boillot Muftic, Consumer Relations Professional, Columnist and Author at Melemusa Import Distribution, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in consumer affairs.
As a writer, Ms. Muftic began writing as early as the age of four, but began in the Public Relations field around 1960 working in New York City. When she moved to Denver, although she had already been involved in political affairs, her political involvement became even stronger. In 1979, Ms. Muftic became the first woman to run for mayor of Denver. Although she was the runner-up, her historical campaign for the city became not only a highlight of her career but one for the city of Denver as well. She began her journey to her career at Northwestern University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1960.
While living in Denver, Ms. Muftic was inspired by an issue about the poor paying more money for groceries in low-income areas than others. She then organized a group of women and conducted a comparative pricing study that was published and showed to be true. This was another highlight of her career. She started her career as an executive director for the Metro District Attorney’s Consumer Office from 1973 to 1979. In 1980, she became the president of Muftic and Associates and in 1981 she was also a talk show host for KNUS, holding both positions until 1983. From 1984 to 1991, Ms. Muftic was a clerk and recorder for the city and county of Denver. In 1991, she became a special projects director for Consumer Credit Counseling and remained until 1995, when she moved on to become a consultant of consumer affairs for a private practice.
In 2004, Ms. Muftic landed a permanent position as a partner of Melemusa Import Distribution, where she remains to this day. She is also a political columnist for SkyHi Daily News and has held that position since 2007. As a testament to her success, Ms. Muftic has been named Media Person of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers and a recipient of the Outstanding Contributions to Consumer Affairs Award from the Denver Federal Executive Board in 1982. Furthermore, she has been listed in multiple editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the West, Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who of American Women.
