Charles Garrett, Senior TV Producer and Marketing Consultant at BBDO Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the fields of production and marketing.
Mr. Garrett studied at Mercer University, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and psychology. He attended the Savannah College of Art & Design, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts in film and video, and started as an assistant television producer for Burke Dowling Adams in 1978. In 1980, Mr. Garrett became a television producer for BBDO Inc., and in 1984, he rose to the rank of senior television producer at the company. Since 1984, he has worked as a marketing consultant in his own private practice in Atlanta, and since 1985 he has been a member of the board of directors for the Atlanta Producer Association. Additionally, he is a member of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers.
Growing up, Mr. Garrett’s father’s friend Glen Ferrill had an ad agency in New York, and offered Mr. Garrett a position as an assistant producer, which got him started in his field. For his excellence, he has received numerous advertising awards, including two International Broadcasting Awards, ten Telly Awards, and several local Addy Awards. He has also received one Gold Pencil Award from the Art Directors Club of Atlanta and was awarded first place by the Institute of Advanced Advertising Studies. Mr. Garrett received an Ann Award from the American Advertising Agencies Association in 1986, and the Gold Award from the Southern Creativity Show in 1979. He attributes his success to his passion for his work—he treats each project as the best project he has ever worked on.
